South O'Brien FFA members competed in several events on Sat, Aug 29.
The State Milk Quality & Products team placed 5th in the State. Team members were Izaak Hoey, JC Lange, Zach Riedemann and Alec Schoof. This is only the 3rd year the chapter has competed in the event.

The FFA Meats Judging team was crowned Champions for the 2nd year in a row, and 3rd out of the last 4 years. Team members were Anna Sells, Ben Aberson, Paige Ginger and Alicyn Rehder. They placed 1st in 4 out of 5 categories and 2nd in the 5th. Anna was named Champion Individual overall and also won Retail ID. Ben lost the tie breaker for 2nd and placed 3rd overall, Alicyn and Paige tied and were 4th and 5th, with Alicyn also placing 1st in Wholesale/Retail judging.
