ON TO STATE!

Congratulations and Good Luck to the Boys Basketball Team! Their first opponent at the 1A State Basketball Tournament is Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto on Monday, March 9 @ 2 pm at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. (Time changed on the IAHSAA web site, again.) In order to allow students and the community to attend the game we will have no school on March 9.

A 7-12 student spectator bus is available for transportation to the BB Tourney game on Monday. Departure time is tentatively 8 am to arrive for the 2 pm game time. The cost is $5.00. The sign up deadline is Thursday at noon! Sorry, students only.

The South O’Brien Athletic Boosters are hosting a Tailgate meal including Pork Loin sandwiches and cheese pizza in the HS Commons from 5-6:30 on Fri March 6 to raise money for the Wolverines' trip to the State Basketball Tournament. Following the Tailgate, there will be a Pep Rally/Program in the West Gym for the community to “Meet the Team."  There will be a silent auction in the HS Commons during the Tailgate and a few larger items will be auctioned off in the gym before the program. See more details on the Booster Club page.
Please contact SOS AD Heath Reichle or Athletic Booster VP Steph Beck if you would like to help out the Athletic Boosters and the Wolverine Basketball team by donating Auction Items, Team Meals in Des Moines, or Cash.
Everyone is welcome to attend!
