KICD has named Mrs. Janet Miller their Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Miller teaches first grade at the South O'Brien Elementary in Primghar.
The Sutherland Masonic Lodge has named Mrs. Jane Muller their Teacher of the year. Mrs. Muller teaches Family and Consumer Science at South O'Brien High School in Paullina.Good Luck!

Naomi Petrich: 1st TeamBoys golf team - 2012 War Eagle Conference and Sectional Champions! Team members are Shaan Desai, Austin Sweeney, Zane Roberts, Nathan Struve, Austin Wise, and Brice Goosen.
War Eagle Conference track champions: Halee Rahbusch in 800m, Sierra Matthews in discus, and Matt DeVos in 400 m hurdles.
South O’Brien Elementary Fun Day is scheduled for May 24. The rain date is May 25. A meal of hot dogs, chips, and a cookie will be available as a fundraiser for our playground and activity funds. There is no regular school lunch served on Fun Day.
Booster Club Apparel for Sale
Show your support for South O'Brien - wear or display items from Booster Club. New apparel items are available, see the New order forms that are available on the Booster Club Page. Other items are available for sale at home events, including teddy bears, jackets and blankets.
You can mail your orders to school or send them to either office with a student. Payment must be submitted with your order.

Mother Muller's Kitchen
The last MMK meal for this year, as well as the last for Mrs. Muller, (since she is retiring) was Wed, May 9. Congratulations and Thank You to Mother Muller! Thank you to community members, students and staff who patronized MMK this year!
FFA
The South O'Brien FFA is accepting old cell phones which will be sent in to be recycled.

Basketball Camps

South O'Brien had three days of school cancelled due to inclement weather. One of the days was made up April 5. The other two days will be made up May 29 & 30. The last day of the 2011-12 school year for students is May 30.
The first day of the 2012-13 school year will be Tuesday, August 21.
