Iowa Youth Symposium Rules of Behavior and Other Information

 

1. Name tags should be provided by advisors. Participants are asked to cooperate and wear them both days.
2. Western Business attire is REQUIRED both days.
3. All students and faculty will be required to go through security each time you enter the Capitol. Homeland Security since 9/11/01 has made security at all state government buildings tighter. Students are encouraged to stay where their committees are located and restrict their movements in and out of buildings. Advisors are asked to help monitor student behavior and ensure that students are not just hanging around the Capitol, especially in the cafeteria.
4. Parking for busses is located on the west side of the Capitol and school vans will need to be parked in the visitor lots on the west side of the Capitol as well.
